Carcross (pop. 515) is located south of Whitehorse on Lake Bennett. The newly restored hotel recalls the gold rush era, when the community was on the route to the goldfields. This is the home of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation, and the destination of the historic White Pass rail connection from Skagway, Alaska.
